Throughout the project, stakeholder involvement activities for the Pulse Milwaukee Line will focus on outreach to stakeholders and coordination with communities, businesses, public agencies, interest groups, and individuals.
Public involvement and outreach efforts are guided by a Stakeholder Involvement Plan. Pace will connect with its customers, the general public, affected property owners, and business groups through outreach activities including the Pulse project website, fact sheets, public meetings, and one-on-one stakeholder meetings.
Preliminary study findings were presented and discussed at the first public meeting on April 22, 2015 and the final selected station locations were presented at the second public meeting held on on August 26, 2015. Over the course of the next several years, Pace and its Community Advisory Group fine-tuned the plan, and the final design for stations and bus service was unvelied at public hearings in July 2018 in Chicago and Niles. Those hearings also incorporated the proposed change in service on Pace Route 270. The results of those hearings have not yet been presented to the Pace Board for approval.
